Strictly non smoking Altana is a really stylish third floor attic apartment close to the characterful San Barnaba area on Dorsoduro and a few minutes to the Accademia Bridge. It has been converted beautifully with an ultra modern kitchen area and bathroom. The architect has retained many original features (including the original beams in the floor) but has overlaid it with a trendy contemporary feel. It is perfect for a couple or for two single friends as there is a sofa bed available also. The altana terrace is lovely, decked out with pots and plants, and has good rooftop views - perfect for that book on Venetian history you’ve always meant to read accompanied by a glass of Pinot Grigio as the sun goes down..................... Our comment: Altana has proved to be a very popular apartment - it is stylish and in a great location. The altana terrace is a big plus. Facilities: CD player, TV, central heating, washing machine/dryer, oven. No telephone.
